Linux HW and SW Expert

The RLX Team is part of the DIA Standardization & Components Chapter, where we drive and support technical standardization across Diagnostics by providing reusable components to simplify the development of products, integrated technical solutions and consultancy services to our Roche Diagnostics customer areas.
We are a team of Linux SW and HW Experts looking for enforcement providing expertise and support to various internal software projects. If you are passionate about GNU / Linux and look for interesting technologies and exciting challenges, do not hesitate to apply.

Your tasks

• Assist Medical Instrument / Software Projects
• Development of in-house tools (Python, C/C++, Web-Technologies)
• Development and maintenance of in-house / open-source tools
• Linux/Hardware troubleshooting, debugging and root-cause analysis

Your qualifications

• Min. bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent
• Min. 3-5 years of work experience as a Software and/or Hardware Engineer
• Min. 3-5 years of experience in development with C/C++, Python, Go, Web technologies, Shell Scripting
• Proven experience (hands-on) with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu), GNU/Linux Enthusiast
• Strong knowledge in Software building, testing, Debian packaging (debhelper)
• English fluent (spoken and written), German is an advantage
• Team player with a "can do" attitude, quick learner, enjoying problem solving, ability to work independently
• Experience in Embedded Software, HW Drivers, ARM Platform, HW/SW integration is an advantage
• Experience in Virtualization/ Container technologies, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines is a plus
